Withdrawing Your LLP Exam Application

Withdrawing your application means you have already submitted your application for the current LLP exam administration and have elected to no longer take the LLP exam for which you originally applied. Colorado does not consider withdrawing your application in a timely and prudent manner a character and fitness issue.

If you fail to withdraw your application and do not appear for the LLP exam for which you applied, your application will be marked as a No-Show. A No-Show designation may have a negative impact on your character and fitness determination in Colorado; it is therefore prudent to follow-up with the Admissions Office following the exam to explain your situation and why you were unable to attend. If you do not show up for the exam and did not submit a timely, written notification to the office of your intent to withdraw, when and if you reapply to take the LLP exam in Colorado the current full exam fee will be assessed.

You may withdraw your application at any time up to 12:00 p.m. (Noon MT) the Monday before the LLP exam; you must do so in writing by emailing bleinfo@csc.state.co.us or your licensure analyst clearly stating you wish to withdraw your application; e.g., “I am withdrawing from the November LLP Exam.” Notices that do not affirmatively state your intent to withdraw will not be considered proper notice. Please do not call the office to withdraw; the office must receive your request in writing.

Once you have withdrawn your LLP exam application, you will not be allowed to sit for the exam you originally applied for.

Reapplication Fee and Process
Applicants who properly withdraw their application by the deadline will receive a reduced application fee for the NEXT subsequent LLP exam administration of $510, in lieu of the full $710 application fee. The fee reduction is only applicable to the subsequent LLP exam application. You will not receive a reduced reapplication fee if you do not apply for the subsequent LLP exam – i.e., skipping an exam administration; therefore if you skip an exam administration, upon your next application you will be assessed the current full exam fee.
