Help shape tomorrow’s judiciary!
Fill out the performance evaluation
surveys on judges by Oct. 24.

FALL
2015
Attorneys
last month received letters followed by an email, requesting their participation
in performance evaluation surveys on judges eligible to stand for retention in
2016.
An
email invitation from the Office of Judicial Performance Evaluation provides the
needed information (survey link, username, and password) to complete online
surveys for certain judges before whom attorneys have appeared. The
Office of Judicial Performance Evaluation uses court data to identify potential
attorneys to be surveyed. If an attorney
feels they do not have sufficient experience before a particular judge, the
survey provides an opportunity to opt out of the evaluation on that judge.
By
completing the surveys, attorneys help shape tomorrow’s judiciary. The combined
attorney and non-attorney responses make up the judicial performance report
used by judges for self-improvement and judicial performance commissions to
complete their evaluations and ultimately make retention recommendations for
voters.
