Colorado Supreme Court

Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel

Promoting Professionalism. Protecting the Public.

Colorado Lawyers

The Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel works to promote competence and integrity in the profession. As part of that effort, the office manages annual registration of Colorado attorneys, oversees Continuing Legal and Judicial Education requirements, and provides current attorneys with resources that may assist them in their career. Many other organizations also emphasize the importance of maintaining professionalism and serving the public with integrity, and provide valuable resources to Colorado attorneys.

Every year, the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel publishes an annual report with data from the admissions, registration, continuing legal and judicial education, and disciplinary divisions in the office. The annual report also provides demographics about attorneys in Colorado. In 2014, there were 38,454 registered attorneys in Colorado, with 12,700 on inactive status. For a fee, any member of the public may request a list of attorneys licensed by the Colorado Supreme Court.
